This is Sharon’s watercolour of an exquisite ivory and bronze bust by Charles van der Stappen c. 1897 entitled “The Mysterious Sphinx”. Coolest sculpture ever (except for the ivory part of course).

Let’s do a quick recap of Clive’s carving in the past year or so since we started the site – he’s been on Global BC TV demonstrating his carving skills, at the Food & Sustenance Fair and carved with the big guys at Metrotown’s Monster Pumpkin show, to name a few of my fave moments.
