Clive also was featured on the Weather Network several times on October 30th and 31st. Oga Nwobosi of the Weather Network had called us and send Camera man, Caaleb Trott to our house to film the segment.
Clive carves a “Demon Pumpkin” on October 16th. Love the horns and ears! On the 18th, Dickson Tong, a reporter from the Ming Pao Daily News interviewed Clive – so you’ll see an article and some of his carvings in their paper on October 21st. It will be a full page spread.

“Breakfast TV Spot featuring Clive Carving a Pumpkin”
If you missed the telly this morning, City TV will have the video online shortly:
City TV (Breakfast Television) is arriving next week to film Clive in action! You’ll see from our website that he’s already been bashing out a few pumpkins this season! Here’s one that I personally love, “The Executioner” carved from about a 50lb Atlantic Giant Pumpkin. Awesome.
This has to be one of my favorite watermelon carvings Clive has done. I think it’s really whimsical. How many Samurai Warrior watermelons have you seen lately? Click on the photo to enter the Watermelon Carving gallery and check out his pumpkin carvings while you are on the site as well.
Let’s do a quick recap of Clive’s carving in the past year or so since we started the site – he’s been on Global BC TV demonstrating his carving skills, at the Food & Sustenance Fair and carved with the big guys at Metrotown’s Monster Pumpkin show, to name a few of my fave moments. To keep his name out there on the web, seems we have to do a lot of this blah, blahing, so forgive us if we’ve repeated ourselves a blog or two. Anyway, hope you enjoy the site!
Here’s Clive newest extreme watermelon carving entitled “Baboon Watermelon”
Extreme Watermelons, Watermelons, Watermelon carving, Watermelon carvings, Watermelon Carvers? Baboon Watermelon, Clive Cooper? So many ways to search for Clive’s wonderful, whimsical carvings.
Clive did his thing at Metrotown Mall today with fellow carvers Bruce Waugh, Craig Mutch, David Billings, Fred Dobbs and other professional carvers. Being fairly new to the game, this is the first time he has ever carved such a large pumpkin (about 160lbs) and in such a short time. This event was aired on CTV News late this evening, and imagine there’s more footage yet to come – in time for Halloween, as there were plenty of news cameras focused on the carvers. Stay tuned!
There seems to be a lot of media web activity surrounding this event as well. Here’s what I’ve found so far:
