Angry Birds, the Movie or the Watermelon?

And just in time for the Angry Birds the movie, here is “Big Red” carved in watermelon (gotta’ love the little carrot feet)!  Clive felt it was time to do sculpt one for the kids –  Angry Birds Watermelon!

African Lion Pumpkin Carving by Clive Cooper

This African Lion Pumpkin Carving might just be Clive’s best sculpture to date.  Hard to see the scale here, but this must be at least an 80lb atlantic giant pumpkin he’s used.   Unfortunately, this lion met his demise. Nope, not in the Arena, but rather deteriorated overnight in our kitchen!  It’s uber cool!

Clive creates his 2nd Pumpkin Carving of a Panda.  Little bigger than the first Panda Pumpkin, but every bit as cute!

Alligator Watermelon Carving Goes Viral!

Clive’s recent alligator watermelon carving continues to spread across the web and social media sites.  In my last blog, I think I mentioned that we created a very quick video on how it was carved, since we were getting so many questions regarding that.  Global BC TV is supposedly coming to film him this Monday, so will be sure to keep you updated on that too!

Here’s the link and below that, the carving that started it all off!   Go to Youtube and type in:  Clive Cooper Carvings

Alligator Watermelon Carving Goes Viral?

What constitutes going “viral” on the web exactly?  I don’t know, but I’ve found websites with 500,000 views, Trend Hunting sites including our images, Facebook pages with 15,000 plus “likes” 42 Google web pages (at least, and growing) featuring Clive’s recent Alligator Watermelon Carving (or as some prefer, Crocodile Watermelon Carving).  With online newspapers using this image, the Food Network about to publish a blog, Wenn News Agency, Rock 101, Lite FM, VR-Zone on Facebook, the list goes on and on …

It is a great carving, but then Clive has loads of fantastic, extreme watermelon and pumpkin carvings to be proud of.  Click on the alligator picture below to see even more!

Feel free to use our pictures on you websites, as long as you give credit where it’s due,

How to Carve a Watermelon Part II – Goes Viral!

Wow, Clive has certainly received more accolades and web hits for his watermelon carving of an alligator, than just about anything else he’s ever sculpted!

The Food Network will be featuring his designs on their website shortly, so keep an eye out for that:  www.foodnetwork.ca

Also, Wenn News agencies contacted us today about running a feature.  WENN provides new and traditional media worldwide with celebrity news and photos, representing numerous: newspapers, magazines, websites, blogs, book publishers, tv companies and many others  – in over 35 countries. Their subscribers and clients include some of the worlds biggest media names including: the BBC, Bloomberg, Microsoft, Yahoo, AOL, HBO and thousands more newspapers, magazines, TV, websites etc…. so that’s pretty exciting.

June 4, Rock 101FM has listed it on their website, and websites and bloggers world-wide it seems.  This one might just go viral!

He also recently carved the funny little character below, kind of a Google eyed froggie character I guess?  What do you think?

You are free to add images to your site, but kindly credit to Clive Cooper put a link to our site beside it of:  www.sparksflydesign.com
